Radfan Al-Mohammedi<\/strong>, a Yemeni visual artist born in 1985, holds a Diploma in Fine Arts (2004) and trained under the late renowned Yemeni artist Hashim Ali<\/strong> from 2006 to 2009.<\/p>

In 2009, he was appointed Director of the House of Art in Taiz<\/strong> until 2012. In early 2013, he founded a cultural and artistic entity in Sana\u2019a under the name The Arab Forum for Arts<\/strong>.<\/p>

Throughout his career in Yemen, Al-Mohammedi served as a judge in numerous local and Arab art competitions. Between 2009 and 2014, he held five solo exhibitions<\/strong> and participated in 50 local group exhibitions<\/strong>.<\/p>

Internationally, he has taken part in more than 60 exhibitions<\/strong> across Italy, the UK, China, Lithuania, Kuwait, Egypt, Qatar, Algeria, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Oman, Lebanon, Tunisia, the United States, and France (2010\u20132025).<\/p>

Al-Mohammedi has received nine local and international awards<\/strong>, including:<\/p>

  • Best Arab Figurative Artist at an Arab Artists\u2019 competition held in London (2016).<\/p><\/li>

  • Among the Top 10 artworks in Arab Visions 2030<\/em> Exhibition, Cairo (2019).<\/p><\/li>

  • Second Place at the Arab Youth Biennale, Cairo (2018).<\/p><\/li>

  • First Place in Realistic Figurative Art at the 9th International Creators Forum, Cairo (2018).<\/p><\/li>

  • Fifth Place at the Al-Shammari International Art Award, Cairo (2019).<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Locally, he received:<\/p>

    • First Place for \u201cBest Touristic Painting\u201d at Sana\u2019a Summer Festival (2008).<\/p><\/li>

    • Third Place in the same competition (2009).<\/p><\/li>

    • Second Place in the sixth edition (2013).<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      During his leadership of the House of Art in Taiz and later the Arab Forum for Arts, he organized numerous artistic events and festivals, including coordination for a Qatari-Yemeni exhibition in Doha (2010)<\/strong>.
      He also organized free training programs for over 300 school students<\/strong> in Taiz (2011\u20132012), and repeated the initiative in Sana\u2019a in 2013 in collaboration with the Cultural Center and the Capital Secretariat.<\/p>

      He hosted workshops in handmade graphic arts<\/strong> and Islamic miniature and ornamentation arts<\/strong> in 2010, and organized several local and Arab competitions, including the first national competition in 2014, the second in 2016, the third in 2018, an Arab Small Works Competition (2017) with 10 participating countries, and the “Ibda\u2019” Arab competition (2020)<\/strong> with 13 participating countries.<\/p>

      After relocating to Egypt in 2016, he coordinated numerous exhibitions for Yemeni artists, served as Yemen\u2019s coordinator for the Elixir International Exhibition<\/strong> and Lotus Libya 2020<\/strong>, and contributed to organizing a Yemeni exhibition in France (2022) in collaboration with La France et Nous<\/em>.
      He later curated a major Yemeni group exhibition in Cairo (2023) featuring over 75 artists, and coordinated the 2024 International Art Salon and Workshop<\/strong>, hosting participants from 16 countries.<\/p>

      Most recently, he founded Dima Art Company in New York<\/strong>, which includes Dima Gallery<\/strong>, Dima Store<\/strong>, and Dima Art Institute<\/strong>, establishing a permanent space dedicated to Yemeni, Arab, and international art.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      The works of artist Radfan Al-Mohammadi are collected by a number of museums, cultural institutions, and major Arab and international companies. Among the most notable collectors are: the National Art Museum of China, the Barjeel Art Foundation in Sharjah, the Ministry of Culture in Yemen, the Taiz Governorate Building, the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund in Sana\u2019a, Yemenia Airways, the Al-Saeed Foundation for Science and Culture in Taiz, the Hayel Saeed Anam Group of Companies, Total, Kamaran Company, and the Sofitel Hotel in Taiz.
